Mrs. Esther Comstock, age 89 of Mountain Home passed away Sunday, January 11, 2009 at Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House. Esther Comstock was born July 8, 1919 in Newton, Illinois to Milo Ersel and Clella Etsta (Deck) Youngman. She married Calvin W. Comstock in 1997 in Mountain Home. She was a member of Twin Lakes Church of the Nazarene. Esther was involved in Women's Ministries. She attended college at Greenville Free Methodist College and taught school during the time Richard, her first husband, was serving in the South Pacific during World War II. She also did Christian Magic before coming to Mountain Home. She was a member of the Hill and Hollow Quilters Guild and enjoyed quilting.
Mrs. Esther Comstock is survived by her husband Calvin W. Comstock of the home; 2 sons, Paul (JoAnn) Tosi of Freeport, Illinois and Richard Tosi of Dixon Illinois, 2 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister, and her first husband.
Visitation for Mrs. Comstock will be Noon – 9 PM Wednesday at Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving friends 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday in the Roller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George Petrey officiating. Burial will be in Kirby Tucker Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House.
