Native of Valley Dies in Clifton, Clifton, Idaho— DeSena Sorensen Andersen, 75 native of Cache Valley and wife of John C. Andersen, died Friday morning at the home of a daughter. She was born in Smithfield on August 7th, 1883, the daughter of Lars Christian and Matilda Anderson Sorensen.


She grew up in Smithfield and on March 7th, 1906, married John C. Andersen in the Logan temple. She was active in various auxiliaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and Mr. Sorensen lived in Arbon, Idaho, after their marriage, engaging in farming. They retired and moved to Pocatello in 1946.


Survivors are her husband; sons and daughters; Willard J. Andersen, Pocatello; Mrs. Charles (Ada) Bailey, Clifton; Andrew M., Arimo; Mrs. Rex (Hazel) Terry, Las Vegas; Glenn C., Smithfield; Norman D., Oakland; twenty-eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. John (DeVena) Bradley, Logan, and Mrs. Bessie Ahrens, Mendon.


Funeral services will be announced in Pocatello. ~The Herald Journal, April 24th, 1959, page 9.
