Last Saturday morning at 2:30, Mrs. Jane A. Milne, at the home of her son, Mr. J. A. Milne, on East Third avenue, departed this life after an illness of several months. She came direct to this city, from Scotland, about four years ago, where she made her home up to the time of her death with her son, J. A. Milne, of the Leader Dry Goods company. Mrs. Milne's sufferings were severe, but she was patient and kind to those about her, and when the end came she was ready and willing to go, and quietly fell asleep. She was loved and admired by those who knew her. She leaves six sons to mourn the loss of their best and dearest friend--a mother. Dear sorrowing friends weep no more, your mother is not dead, but only gone the way of life that all of us must go. The funeral took place from the residence on Monday afternoon at three o'clock, conducted by Rev. A. F. Irwin, of the First Presbyterian church, who comforted the grief stricken friends with beautiful and touching language, after which the remains were tenderly laid to rest in Eastside cemetery followed by a large number of sympathizing friends and neighbors.
