He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 421, St. Peter's Church, and a veteran of World War II having served with 1503rd Army Air Force Base.
He married the former Bertha Dondzila on July 27, 1943, who survives with two sons, Atty. Frank A. Cich and Robert J. Cich, both of Akron; two daughters, Mrs. John (Barbara) Price of Bloomingdale, and Miss Catherine Cich st home; two brothers, Walter and Adam Cich, both of Toronto; five sisters, Mrs. Helen Bowen of New Cumberland, W. Va., Mrs. Sophie Straka, Mrs. John (Mary) Bilchak, Mrs. Thomas (Ann) McCarthy, and Mrs. Michael (Martha) Shimmel, all of Toronto; and five grandchildren.
He was born July 27, 1923, in Toronto, a son of the late Charles and Anna Majewski Cich. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, John, Morris and Stanley Cich, and a sister, Mrs. Vera Murray.
