TORONTO - Walter Cich Jr., 83, of 814 Loretta Ave., Toronto, died at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. John Medical Center.
He was a retired furnace operator for Satralloy Corp., Steubenville. He was a member of St. Francis Roman Catholic Church in Toronto and served with the U.S. Army in World War II.
He is survived by five sisters, Mrs. Helen Bowen of New Cumberland; Mrs. Sophia Straka, Mrs. John (Mary) Bilchak, Mrs. Tomas (Anna) McCarthy and Mrs. Michael (Martha) Shimmel, all of Toronto; and one brother, Adam Cich of Toronto.
He was born July 7, 1916 in Toronto, the son of the late Walter C. Sr. and Anna Majewska Cich. He also was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
