Coach Windell (Chick) Nix, 67, of Geraldine, died Friday, June 17, 2005, at Collinsville Nursing Home.
Services were Sunday, June 19, at Harris Funeral Home with burial in Geraldine First Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Pete Chadwick officiated. Greg Nix gave the eulogy.
Survivors include wife, Carolyn Nix of Geraldine; daughters and sons-in-law, Wendy and Kelly Morris of Birmingham, Greg and Cherri Nix of Perry, Ga., ; father and wife, Roy and Geneva Nix of Scottsboro; sister, Brenda Bellamy of Scottsboro; brothers, Raymond Nix of Ft. Oglethorpe, Ga., and Gary Nix of Opelika; and seven grandchildren.
