Longtime reporter for the Shreveport Times, who eventually created the society section for the paper, writing as "Miss Pansy." A pioneering, crusading female reporter who wrote about murder and mayhem, but before the day of bylined stories, so it is often difficult to discern her work in the pages of the paper.

Beginning her newspaper career as a correspondent for the Shreveport Caucasian, she wrote for the Shreveport Journal the last few years of her life, contributing articles almost up to the day of her death.
