Isaac Young Laid to Rest in Joplin
Isaac Young, 71, pioneer of Joplin, passed away in a Billings Hospital Sunday, October 30. The cause of death was due to a lingering illness.
Isaac Young was born in South Wales, England in 1878. In 1896 he migrated to the United States at the age of 18. He was married at Edina, Missouri, to Ethel Bonine in 1907. Both his wife and one son had preceded him in death.
In 1910 he came to Montana, and has resided in the vicinity of Joplin since then. He was buried at Joplin Thursday, November 3rd.
Funeral services at Bethel Lutheran Church of Joplin were conducted by the Reverend C. H. Jacobson, pastor. The ladies choir sang three numbers: "My Jesus, As Thou Wilt", "Rock of Ages", and "Jesus, Savior, Pilot Me."
Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Fred Hodges of Joplin; two brothers in England and many nieces and nephews around Joplin and in England.

Havre Rites Set for Chester Man
The body of Isaac Young, 71, who died Sunday at the Montana Home for the Aged, was taken Monday night to Havre for funeral services and burial.
Mr. Young was born Sept. 16, 1878, in South Wales, Great Britain, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Edmond G. Young. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Sarah Hodges of Joplin.
