Abram (sic) Mosteller
In West Vincent towndhip, yesteday afternoon, about four o'clock, Abram Mosteller died at the age of ninety-three years, two months, twendy-seven days. He had been up and about the house during themorning and ate a hearty dinner, but became ill during the afternoon and passed away quickly.
He was born September 21st, 1821, a son of Henry Mosteller, and spent his early youth along Pigeon Creek, in East Coventry. He was the eldest of twelve children and the last to die. for many years hw as widely known through that country as a farmer and wood merchant, and since 1847 had lived on the farm, where his death occurred. He belonged to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, was a Democrat in politics and had filled various township offices as School Director, Supervisor and the like. During the Civil War he started for the front as a soldier, but his company was ordered home after reaching Philadelphia, as the Battle of Gettysburg had been fought and the war was practically over.
He married Hannah, daughter of William Shimer, and she lived with him happily until her death six years ago. She was a sister of Mrs. Harry Mosteller and of Dr. Shimer, the latter having died some years ago in Mount Carroll, Illinois, where he was widely know as a practitioner.
Four children survive: John B. Mosteller, of Monte Clare, Montgomery County; Mrs. Emma Simmers and Mrs. Ella Griffith, who kept house for their father, and Abram (sic) Mosteller, of No. 31 Deat Street, West Chester.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services without further notice in St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, on Tuesday, December 22, at 11 o'clock a.m. Interment in adjoining cemetery. Carriages will meet trains at Anselma, P.V.R.R.
