Marguerite R. Hricko, 88, of Altoona, unexpectedly was taken home to be with the Lord, Jesus Christ, Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at her residence. Mrs. Hricko was born in St. Augustine, daughter of the late Marcellus and Helena (Adams) Adams. She married Harry Bernard Hricko Oct. 11, 1941, at St. Augustine Catholic Church. He died Sept. 27, 1990. Mrs. Hricko was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Altoona. Marguerite's family was her entire life. Her favorite pastime was playing cards. She was loved by all who knew her. She is survived by seven daughters and one son: Donna Ricche, Annetta Arnold, Harry Hricko and Darlene Sinisi, all of Altoona, Carmella Green of Hollidaysburg, Dolores Reismeier of Mechanicsburg, Paulette Brokaw of Winter Haven, Fla., and Carolyn Hricko of Ashville; 19 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hricko also is survived by seven brothers and sisters: Leona, Shirley, Clarence "Bugs," Harold, Edgar "Ted," Lillian "Teenie" and Thelma; and a sister-in-law: Dolores Kearney of Sacramento, Calif. She was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters: Thomas, Donald, Betty, Doris, Paul, Russ, James, Patrick, Robert, Raymond and Naomi; a sister-in-law, Isabel Adams; and a brother-in-law, Elmer Hricko. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today, May 8, 2009, at Jones Funeral Home, where a vigil for the deceased will be celebrated during the visitation. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2009, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Altoona. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
