Services for Ervin Sparks, 86, of Lubbock will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mount Vernon United Methodist Church with the Rev. Fred Watson officiating.
Burial will be in Peaceful Gardens in Woodrow under the direction of Ossie Curry Funeral Home.
He died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2000, at Bender Terrace Nursing Home.
He was born Dec. 11, 1913, in Holland. He married Lillian Louise Sparks on June 26, 1938, in Lubbock. She died May 14, 1998. He was a member of Mount Vernon United Methodist Church. He worked with food distribution for needy families.
Survivors include three daughters, Alice Sue Sparks and Sharon Elaine Porch, both of Lubbock, and Willie Louise Straws of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and a grandchild.
