Roscoe Bassett Glines of Tremonton died at 6 p.m. Saturday July 26, following an operation for appendicitis the Sunday before. His condition was very serious and the poison attacking the heart was the immediate cause of death.
He leaves a wife, whose maiden name is Florence Stevens and six children, Roscoe, Marjorie and Ellen in Tremonton; Leland, Freeman and Nina who reside in California, also his mother, Mrs. Melvie Glines of Ogden, his brothers, Rex, also of Ogden, Utah and Ernest of Neola, Utah and his sisters, Mrs. Les Scholfield, Mrs. Arthur Bender and Mrs. Elmer Gould, all of Ogden.
Mr. Glines was born June 12, 1878, at Cedar City, Utah. For several years he was a resident of Ogden, but seven years ago he went to Tremonton where he has since been engaged with the J. R. Watkins Company. Mr. Glines was formerly of Vernal, Utah, son of the late Charles H. Glines.
He was a devoted husband, father, an active church worker and a general friend which made him a host of friends.
The fumeral services were held at the stake tabernacle at Garland at 12 o'clock noon, Tuesday, July 29. Interment was in the Ogden City Cemetery.
