Melvie Bassett Glines Buried at Ogden December 27th.

OGDEN -- Mrs. Melvie Amanda Bassett Glines, 82, widow of Chaz Harvey Glines died Saturday December 23 at her residence in Ogden following an extended illness of ailments incident to age.

Born in Salt Lake City July 28, 1856 to Charles Henry Glines and Melvie Bassett Glines, she came to Ogden in 1913 and had resided here since. Her husband to whom she married December 19, 1875 at Logan died several years ago. She was a member of Ogden LDS 12th Ward.

Mrs. Glines formerly resided in Ashley Valley.

Survivors are two sons and three daughters, Reginald Glines of Kirkland, Washington; Ernest B. Glines of Whiterocks, Utah; Mrs. Lea Schofield and Mrs. Diantha Bender of Ogden and Mrs. Lois Young of Los Angeles; 28 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; also the following brothers and sisters, Ernest and Fred Bassett, Charles Henry Bassett of Gentile Valley, Idaho; Mrs. Lois Gatril, Salt Lake; Mrs. Ruby Ashworth, Ogden; Mrs. Nora Lynch, Mrs. Minnie East, Mrs. Clara Bruin, Lawrence Allen and Freeman Bassett, all of Los Angeles and Cora Bassett of Oakland, California.

Funeral services were held at the twelfth Ward Chapel December 27th with Bishop A. Walter Stevenson conducting. Burial was in the Ogden City Cemetery.
