OBITUARIES
F. J. B. Blaisdell
Malad, Idaho - Mrs. Florence Julia Barber Blaisdell, 66, died at the family home in St. John Sunday evening following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 1 p.m. in the Malad L.D.S. Second ward chapel with Bishop Melvin Yearsley of the St. John ward presiding.
Born at Centerville, Utah, July 15, 1885, a daughter of John Thomas Barber and Julia Barber, she was married to John Edward Blaisdell, December 16, 1909, in the Salt Lake L.D.S. temple. With her husband, Mrs. Blaisdell moved to Holbrook in 1910 and they homesteaded there until the fall of 1912. They then moved to St. John in Oneida county where they have since lived. The mother of 10 children, Mrs. Blaisdell has been an active member of the L.D.S. church her entire life.
Survivors include her husband and the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Thora Jensen, Nolan Blaisdell, Theron Blaisdell, Mrs. Lorraine Dives and Kenneth Blaisdell, all of Malad; Mrs. Alice Edwards, Ogden; Reed Blaisdell, Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. Helen Alvarez, Idaho Falls; 28 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Grace White, Centerville, Utah; three brothers, Roy Barber, Ogden; Levi Barber, Spanish Fork; and Elmer Barber, Centerville, Utah.
Friends may call at the family home in St. John this evening and tomorrow until funeral time. Burial will be in the Malad city cemetery.
