Darline Barnes Killed in Crash
Mrs. Darline Lawson Barnes, 16, who died Sunday in Mojave from car accident injuries, will be accorded final rites Saturday at 2 p.m. in Latter Day Saints church of Blythe.
She was the wife of Charles R. Barnes, one of two injured in the two-car crash Saturday night. They had moved from Blythe to Bakersfield about two months ago.
Mrs. Barnes was a Blythe resident since 1954 and attended local schools before her marriage.
She leaves her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Waters, 177 Commercial, Blythe, aunt and uncle Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Garner of Blythe and cousins Mr. and Mrs. Byford Pettypool, Blythe.
Her maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. William F. Lewis of Popular Bluff, Ma., have arrived for the service.
Turner's Mortuary of Mojave is in charge of arrangements. Interment will follow in Palo Verde cemetery.
