St. Clair - Paul Zimmer, 93, of St. Clair, died Thursday, Nov. 10, 1994. He was born July 7, 1901 in St. Clair. He married Ella Rose Westrick Sept. 10, 1922 in St. Clair. She died in 1982.
Mr. Zimmer was an area farmer and mechanic. He opened Zimmer's Sales and Service in St. Clair in 1960. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Curch and St. Clair Knights of Columbus Council 2251.
He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Vicky Zimmer of Lexington, Melvin and Mary Ellen Zimmer of St. Clair and Harvey and June Zimmer of St. Clair; daughter and son-in-law, Marie and Charles Verbeke of St. Clair, daughter-in-law, Donna Zimmer of Lexington; 27 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; a brother, Theodore Zimmer of Royal Oak; and sister, Freda Carlton of Ferndale. He was preceded in death be a son, Roy; two grandchildren, Linda and Sandra Zimmer; one great grandchild, Tracy Fye; three brothers, Benjamin, Andrew and Florent Zimmer; and sisters, Marie Aitken and Sister Margaret Ann (Lucy) Zimmer.
Services are 9:30 A.M. Monday at Young Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in St. Clair and at 10 A.M. in St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Rev. Edward Ritter, pastor of St. Mary's Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Visiting is 2 to 9 P.M. today. A rosary will be said at 3 P.M.
