Albert "Slick" Gilbert, 65, died April 25, 2008, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora. He was born in Bolivar Co. Miss. He was a farmer.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Wise Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Coy Fulgham officiating. Burial will be in Bluff Springs Cemetery at Choctaw Co.
Survivors include one daugher, Syble Ann McAlpin of Eupora; five sons, Albert Gilbert Jr. of Eupora, David Gilbert of Ackerman, Jerry Richard Gilbert and Larry Gilbert of Eupora and William Paul Gilbert of Starkville; seven sisters, Nancy Robinson of Cleve, Miss, Becky Roberson of Cleveland, Miss, Peggy Showers of Boyle, Miss, Linda Bowen of Skene, Miss, Brenda Johnson of Brookhaven, Miss, Mary McELroy of Cleveland, Miss and Jeanette Dankins of Skene, Miss.; two brothers, Jimmy Louis Gilbert of Cleveland, Miss., Roy Gilbert of Ark.; 17 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
