GREAT FALLS — Keith Irvin Drugge, also known as Keith Rick, 45, died in a Phoenix hospital Thursday, April 19, 2001 of injuries sustained in a car wreck near Flagstaff, Ariz.

Funeral services were at Fifth Avenue Christian Church in Havre. Interment followed at the Highland Cemetery in Havre.

Drugge was born March 29, 1956 in Havre to Isaac Werner Drugge and Lorena (Waldrip) Drugge. The family moved to Choteau in 1962. He attended school there. He returned to Havre with his mother in 1968, when she married Mat Rick. He was known as Keith Rick throughout his high school years and graduated from Havre High School in 1974.

Drugge worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad for a short time and then worked at Dresser-Titan Industries in Havre. He worked on gas wells and was a truck driver for several years. He eventually returned to the BN and worked on the bridge and building crew and later as a brakeman.

In 1986, he moved to Phoenix and was a carpenter. He specialized in framing buildings and laying hardwood floors.

Drugge returned to Havre in the late 1990s to spend time with his family and help care for his ailing stepfather, Mat Rick. He moved to Great Falls in 1999 and worked as a carpenter.

Drugge enjoyed Goldwing motorcycles and road trips and was an avid NASCAR fan. He also enjoyed camping, boating, fishing and all outdoor activities. He was a photography buff and coin collector and enjoyed woodworking, playing cards and reading.

He was preceded in death by his father, Isaac Werner Drugge; stepfather, Mat Rick; brothers, Ted and Donald Drugge.

Survivors include his mother, Lorena Rick of Havre; brother, Rod Rick of Havre; stepbrothers, Sean Rick of France and Mat Rick Jr. of Ireland; stepsister, Margaret Kindrick of London; close friends, Sandy, David and Gillian Zussman of Phoenix; numerous nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts.
