** CAT **
Sarah Margret Ferguson-Dutchess of York-Cumulus Nimbus Kitty was her full name, but Fergie was faster. She looked like her namesake and was a creamcicle coloured cat. She was fluffy like a little cloud and she was ME" in a fur coat.

She came into my life quite unplanned. I was working @ a mall and stopped into the pet store to see if anyone new had arrived. I saw a bunch of orange and white kittens. She was the ONLY female and the "runt" of the litter. She would fit in a shirt pocket & could sit in your hand. It was love @ first "purr"- I HAD to take her home. She was so little, if she got a good purr going, she'd knock herself off her paws.

She blossomed into a 10 lb. kitty and quickly became my entire world, nothing was too good for my Sarah. She would sleep next to my pillow @ night and I had a lullaby machine. She was always a happy, healthy cat and quite the "redhead" temper but the mad didn't last but a few seconds then the purr would begin.

If you called her name suddenly, she'd just fall over. I guess her thinking was "You can't punish a kitty who's laying down" and she was right.

Her older sister died of kidney failure and I was crushed but she purred me back to life- then IT happened, her health started to decline. I did everything for her and she rallied back but it was short lived. I had gone on vacation for 10 days and had left her @ the vets. I went to pick her up and he popped his head out of the office in a desperate voice "Thank G-D you're home!" What I saw was a 4 lb. shell of my Fergie. She's stopped eating and was having heart problems and they discovered she had cancer. I took her home and knew what was best for her, but I couldn't face it- she was only 10 AND my entire life.

Finally, on the 20th of June 2001- I had to let her go. I took her to the local Humane Society and they flatly refused to let me hold her as she exited. I'll always feel bad about that.

Within 2 months and 4 days, I'd lost 2 cats- I was near suicide but I decided to go look @ kittens the same day, I brought home 2 kittens- Isabell * who is on F A G * and Sophie. From my greatest saddness, came joy.

** In an ironic twist, G-D saw I missed Fergie so much- He recycled her soul into another cat- my beloved Chloe. She does the SAME weird things Fergie did so I know it's her in a new, silvery coat. I learned from my past mistake with Fergie- but I am appreciating Chloe every day as some day she'll be taken **
