Aged 88.6.11, wife of Aaron Prall.

This is an excerpt from the article in the Washington Star, Dec 10, 1894:

The first Prall that we have any knowledge of settled in West Amwell Township, Hunterdown County, long before the War of the Revolution. His name was Aaron and his wife was a French Woman. One of his sons, Aaron, Jr. married Margaret Hixon in 1760. The young couple started out to found a home of their own. With two horses hitched to a wagon, which contained all their worldly possessions, they drove through this valley, but not being favorably impressed with its appearance, ascended the wooded slopes of Scott's Mountain where they made their home. Three children were born to them--Margaret, Aaron, and Joseph.

The eldest of the two boys, Aaron--the third of the Pralls to bear that name-- was born on the mountain in 1766. He married Letitia Chamberlin, whose parents lived on the Pennsylvania side of the Delaware River. Seven children were born to them--Elizabeth, Aaron (4th), John, James, Thomas, Margaret, and William. Of these children, Margaret is the only one now living. She is the Widow of Jacob Cole, and resides with her daughter, Mrs. Joab Mershon, in this borough.
