He graduated Harvard College in 1765, studied medicine and settled in Boston as a physician. He married Mary, daughter of Henry Quincy, merchant. They had two sons, [i.] Ebenezer. [ii.] John [b. 7 Aug 1774]. [iii. Henry Stedman b. 2 Mar 1780; he must have died young, the books are stating there were only two children, Ebenezer and John.]
