Dr. Blau was killed instantly in an automobile accident near Leoti.
He was a a prominent citizen and always interested in the affairs of this community where he lived all his life.
He was the son of a pioneer family in western Kansas, and the old home place, known as the Blau Ranch, has been a land mark since the pioneer days in this district. He and his family, have kept the ranch going down through the years. He was highly respected by his neighbors and citizens of this community.
Wm. Blau, D.C., also had a wide acquaintance over this entire district where persons came for miles to see Dr. Blau at his office in Leoti where he was a chiropractor. He was highly respected in his profession and his death is indeed a severe loss to the community.
William Blau was born on May 18, 1893, to Martin and Elisa Blau on the Blau Ranch in south Logan County.
He passed away October 28th, 1967, at the age of 74 years, 5 months and 10 days.
He grew to manhood on the Blau Ranch.
He graduated from the Chiropractic School at Davenport, Iowa in 1913. He practiced in Logan and Wichita Counties.
Interment was in Buelah Cemetery in north Wichita County.
(July 7, 1920, Wm. married Gladys Marie Couch. To this union ten children were born.)
