Tennie Bell Strawhacker, age 89 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Friday, May 15, 2009 at Golden Living Harrison Nursing Center.
The daughter of William H. and Nora Almyra (Self) Griffin. She was born April 7, 1920 in Walnut, Arkansas.
Tennie was a lifelong resident of this area and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.
Her parents preceded her in death, along with an infant daughter; three great-grandchildren; and two brothers.
She is survived by her sons, T.C. Strawhacker and Mac Strawhacker both of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, Lonnie Strawhacker of Grady, Arkansas, and Donnie Strawhacker of Arkansas; daughters, Myrtle Ford of Harrison, Betty Wilson of Bellefonte, Arkansas, Rosemary Strawhacker of Van Buren, Arkansas, Fern Pearson of Missouri, and Zettie Carter of Harrison; four sisters; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at Denning Cemetery with Arlis Burks officiating.
Pallbearers were Tennie's grandsons and great-grandsons.
Arrangments are being handled by Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
