Arthur L. LeMasters

Arthur L. LeMasters, 92, died Monday at Margaret Mary Community Hospital, Batesville.

Born Oct. 20, 1906, in Shelby County, he was the son of Ralph and Ophelia (Henderson) LeMasters.

He married Ruth (Brant) LeMasters in Shelbyville on Oct. 22, 1933, and she died on Jan. 16, 1988.

Mr. LeMasters was retired from Montgomery Ward, Batesville.

He was a member of Batesville United Methodist Church; Batesville Lodge No. 668, F.&A.M.; Scottish Rite of Indianapolis; and Hill Crest Country Club.

Survivors include a son, Jack LeMasters, St. Louis; one brother, Claude LeMasters, Beaumont, Texas; and two sisters, Lucile Carlin, Indianapolis, and Elanor J. Pigman, Boone, N.C.

He also was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Batesville United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Charles Flory officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
