Temperance Avery and William Morgan had ten children:

2. Christopher who married 1st Deborah Ledyard; 2nd Margaret Gates.
3. Temperance who married Ephraim Allyn (Ephraim married 2nd Temperance's sister Rebecca).
4. William who married 1st Lydia Smith; 2nd Sarah Harris.
5. Israel who married Elizabeth Brewster.
6. Mary who married Peter Williams.
7. Simeon who married Rhoebe Allyn
8. Prudence who married Increase Stoddard.
9. Rebecca who married 1st Jacob Galllup; 2nd Ephraim Allyn.
10. Jacob who married Lois Gallup.
In 1888, some of Christopher Avery's descendants set up a brown-stone obelisk on the east side of Avery Hill, Ledyard (formerly the North Parish of Groton) not far from his former home. (Now known as Christopher Avery Cemetery) The front bears this inscription: Christopher Avery, 1680 - 1753. His Four Wives. His Daughter, Temperance, and her husband William Morgan were buried in the same lot.
