MRS. LLOYD DIES; RITES HELD HERE
Mrs. W. D. Lloyd, widow of the late Mr. Lloyd, former president of The Commercial Bank of Douglasville, died last Thursday, March 30.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. last Saturday, April 1, 1972, in the chapel of J. Cowan Whitley Co. in Douglasville. The Revs G. H. Lively and C. Lavern Mobley officiated. Internment was in the Douglasville city Cemetery.
Mrs. Lloyd the former Rebecca Thornton of Jackson, was a resident of Tallapoosa before moving to Douglasville. She was a member of the Town and Country Garden Club and the First United Methodist Church of Douglasville.
Survivors include her sister, Mrs. Dean Strickland of Moultrie, a brother, Hughlen R. Thornton of Crystal River, Fla.; several nieces and nephews.
