BLACK, Fannie – Mrs. Fannie Black, wife of Monk Black, colored, died last Sunday morning at 2:30 of heart disease, aged 57 years. She had been troubled for years with this disease but for six months she had been much improved and her death was unexpected. She was the mother of 7 children, all of whom have preceded her to the other world. She was one of the best known of Bentonville's colored people and was a hard working and trustworthy woman. Funeral services were held by Rev. J.H. Maddox at the home and the remains were interred at the City Cemetery Monday afternoon.
