Death of a Former Resident
James Hendershot, a former resident of Washington, but who for the past five years has lived in Andover, died at the later place on Saturday of paralysis, after about a year of suffering. His age was 77 years and six months. The remains were brought to the home of his son, Oscar, here on Tuesday, from which place the funeral was held yesterday at 10:30 a.m., Rev. C.R. Barnes, D.D., officiating. Internment was made in the Washington Cemetery. The deceased is survived by three sons: George, James W. and Oscar: also one sister and two brothers. The latter are Mrs. Mary Vanderhoof and Henry Hendershot of Newark and Lanson Hendershot of Baleville, Sussex County.
