She was also preceded in death by her husbands, David W. Durmon and Louie B. Mabry, a daughter, Joy Belle Cox, a son, Merle F. Durmon, a stepson, Richard Mabry, a stepdaughter, Mary Sowers, and a grandson, Steven Douglas Smith.
She was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church, Pulaski and a member of the Truth Rebekah Lodge #100 of Blacksburg. She was a retired employee of Stegers Laundry, Pulaski.
Surviving are her children, Mako M. Jones, of Pulaski, David R. Durmon, of Pulaski, Mrs. W.T. (Ducky) Smith Jr., of Pulaski, and Mrs. Neal (Lois) Wirt, of Pulaski; stepchildren, Charles Mabry, of Norfolk, and Christine Nester, of Max Meadows; six grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; twelve great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Norman Wilhoit officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Visiting will be Sunday evening at Stevens Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. The family wishes that memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church, 135 4th St. N.W., Pulaski, VA 24301.
