It does not appear there is a lot of information available for him out there.
He was the son of Dr. Elihu Lyman & Esther Maria Camp.
According to: Genealogy of the Lyman Family, in Great Britain and America by Lyman Coleman he was one of two children. According to the book he was married to a Miss Camp, however I found a marriage to Julia Barnes in December of 1819 which would coincide with the birth of there only daughter: Annis Maria who married James Thrall.
I found many references to him remaining in Middlefield, Connecticut, and since Julia was remarried by 1841 I am assuming he may have died before then?
Since no mention is made of the mother or the father is made in any documents I can find - or by the daughter I am unsure of what happened to Alfred.
If anyone finds more information I would welcome the help.
I have found a website that lists Alfred DOD as May 4, 1843. I am pretty sure it is correct because it lists Dr. Elihu Lyman and John Lyman - with his correct DOD.
www.dunhamwilcox.net - let me know if this is good information.
I have been informed by a family member he is buried with his parents in West Side Cemetery, Guilford, New Haven County, Connecticut, United States of America.
