COLEMAN - J.C. Brimer, 84, of Valera died Saturday, Jan. 11, 1997, in a Coleman nursing home.
Service will be at 2 p.m. today in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Valera Cemetery.
He was born July 24, 1912, in Valera and was a lifetime resident. He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service and was a postmaster from 1942 to 1972. He was a member of the Valera Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Mae Brimer of Valera; two sons, Wallace Brimer of Abilene and Billy J. Brimer of Vernon; a daughter, Glenda Bowman of San Angelo; a sister, Bessie Cobb of Kilgore; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
