Fiedelia Ashley, 89, of Granview, Wash., died January 4, 1994, at her home near Grandview. She was born October 8, 1904, at Napa, OR., one of 13 children of William and Lydia Steele.

Mrs. Ashley moved with her parents to Metzger, OR. and attended High School in Portland. On December 31, 1922, she married Charles Ashley at her home in Metzger. Following their marriage. They made their home in Grandview where her husband farmed. After her children were grown, she worked as a cook for the Grandview School Ditrict for over 20 years. Her husband died January 21, 1983. Following his death, she continued to make her home in Grandview until the time of her death.

She is survived by four sons, Keith, Charles, and Allen Ashley all of Grandview, and Paul Ashley of Phoenix, AZ.; one daughter, Mary Dorris of McCall, ID.; one sister Grace Ellingson of Washington; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Edith Wierman who died in 1976, and Lois Crawford who died in 1992.

Services were January 8 at the Chapel of Smith Funeral Home in Grandview... with burial in the Grandview Cemetery.
