Robert Finch Hodge , age 92, died Saturday, August 10, 1991. He was preceded in death by his wife of many years, Annie Linkous Hodge , in April, 1969. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Hilda and Rudy Helms, Blacksburg; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Nellie Hodge , Blacksburg; his grandchildren, Terry Maddy and her husband, Billy; Mark Helms and his wife, Kym, all of Christiansburg; Kenny Hodge and his wife, Sally, of Alpharetta, Ga.; Karen Sue Hodge , Alexandria, Va.; Penny White and her husband, Roger, of Blacksburg; six great-grandchildren whom he dearly loved, Matthew and Joshua Hodge , Hunter Maddy, Jesse, Casey and Kelsea Helms; a brother and sister-in-law, Homer and Nita Hodge , Roanoke; his special friends of many years, Alex and Billie Linkous; nine step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday from the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Mr. Porter Riner and the Rev. Jerry Sloss with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home in Christiansburg after 12:00 noon Monday where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 Monday evening.
