JOHN BOUTON at the age of 20 yr. embarked from Gravesend, England aboard the ASSURANCE, and landed in Boston in December of 1635.
He was an original settler of Hartford in the Colony of Conn. and married ALICE KELLOGG, daughter of JOHN & ALICE (PRATT) KELLOGG of Braintree, England, in Hartford in 1636/7. He died early (death date above is an estimation)and left his wife and three known children:

She married second MATTHEW MARVIN (also my ancestor) in 1645.
