William Cline, 92, Dies Sunday

William Cline, 92, Star route, Polar, town of Evergreen, died Sunday afternoon at Langlade County Memorial hospital.

He was born July 3, 1876 in Jackson, Ind., a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Cleveland Cline.
He moved with his parents to Kentucky at the age of eight, and came to the Elton area in 1904.
Mr. Cline has been a Langlade county resident for 65 years.

On Dec. 25, 1905 (could be Sep 24, 1905?) he was married at Elton to the former Minnie Bair, (could be spelled Bare?) who died in 1934. On May 8, 1938 he married the former Sarah Eldridge at Nashville, Wis.

Mr. Cline worked as a logger.

He was a member of the Church of God.

Surviving are his wife, Sarah; four daughters, Mrs. Harman (Cora) Cline, Antigo, Mrs. Wally (Helen) Nazda, Hatley, Wis., Mrs. Elmer (Marie) Templeman, Grafton, Wis., and Mrs. Romie (Pearl) Eldridge, Kenosha; two sons, Arlie, Star route, Polar, and Russell, Adell, Wis.; 57 grandchildren; 79 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were six daughters, Elizabeth, Lula, Elva, Bessie, Dessie, and one daughter in infancy; two sons, Fred and Orville; two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Soman and Rhodes funeral chapels where friends may call after 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. The Rev. Adam Biffert will officiate, and burial will be in Sherry cemetery in the town of Evergreen.
