John Anway Smith, 83, died here June 12. He was a native of Jacksonville, Ore., and had resided in this community for the past 8 years. Survivors include his wife Nettie Chipps Smith and one son, Sylvester Smith. Funeral services will take place from the Chapel of Ward's Klamath Funeral Home, Saturday, June 15, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Dale Hewitt officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow in the Lakeview Cemetery at Macdoel.
