Catherine Ashby Ross was married to Evan Ross Sept. 5, 1809 in Ohio County, KY. Some have her marriage date as 1804, but this is incorrect. Catherine and Evan Ross had at least 14 children. The first four were born in Ohio Co., KY and the remaining children in Spencer Co., Indiana. Catharine and Evan Ross appear to have moved by 1844 to Wapello, Iowa where Evan Ross passed away one year later. Catharine was a widow when she moved to Oregon in the 1870's. A good number of her children also moved to Oregon. Her son, Benjamin Franklin Ross, is also listed on the cemetery index for this cemetery.
