Mrs. Della Carney, 76, widow of M. A. Carney, resident of 1013 Woodlawn Ave., admitted to Newark Hospital Oct. 11, died at 6:27 p.m. Saturday. She had been ill for some time.
The daughter of Peter and Sarah E. (Pethtel) White, she came to Newark from Bremen in 1915. She was a member of Central Church of Christ; Newark Chapter, OES, and Pythian Sisters.
Her husband Matthew died in 1921, and surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Eunice (John) Porter of Newark and Mrs. Thelma F. (Cyril) Hartman of Mansfield; also three grandchildren; seven great - grandchildren. A brother and two sisters are deceased.
