The son of Cyrus & Comfort (Palmer) Kinne, he married (1) Elizabeth Kinne , daughter of David Kinne of Plainfield, Conn. (Prentice & Elizabeth's fathers were cousins) on January 16, 1800 in Plainfield, Conn., and (2) Eunice Jones in 1821.

In 1801, Prentice & Elizabeth Kinne moved to Mantilus, Onandoga Co., NY and lived there for the remainder of their lives.
