Gertrude M. Butler

Mrs. Gertrude Meibos Butler, 75. of 1285 Gibson, died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 1985 at a Clearfield nursing home of A.L.S. Disease.

She was born March 7, 1910 in Wilson Lane, a daughter of John and Gertrudo Bekker Meibos.

She married Rillon J. Butler on Aug. 6, 1932 in Morgan. He died June 27, 1966.

She was a lifelong resident of Ogden.

She graduated from Weber High School.

She was a member of the Ogden 3rd LDS ward and had held numerous teaching positions in various wards.

She was employed in the Ogden area and had held the position of house mother at the Utah School for the Deaf. She had also worked at the Ogden Temple.

Surviving are one son and two daughters, Roger R. Butler, Kaysville; Mrs. Neill (Judy) Meister, Roy; Mrs. Richard (Lynda) Graham, Salt Lake City: seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are two brothers and four sieters, John Meibos, Layton; Edward Meibos, Hacienda Heights, Calif.; Jennie Starkey, San Carlos, Calif.; Bertha Child and Alida (Polly) Alberts, both of Roy; Sadie Butler, Ogden.

She was preceded In death by two brothers.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist & Sons Colonial Chapel In Ogden with Bishop Keith Atkinson of the Ogden 3rd ward officiating.

Friends may call at the mortuary Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Monday from 10 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
