73, retired TVA chemical operator

MOULTON -- Funeral for Floyd Scoggins, 73, of Town Creek will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Sims and the Rev. Dean Sims officiating.

Burial will be in Providence Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The body will be in the church one hour before the service.

Mr. Scoggins died Friday, Jan. 26, 1996, at his residence. He was born May 30, 1922, in Lawrence County. He was a deacon and men's Sunday School teacher at Calvary Baptist Church and a retired TVA chemical operator. He was a member of Hatton Masonic Lodge No. 879 and an Army World War II veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Mae Scoggins; one son, Gary Scoggins of Town Creek, one daughter, Susan Kirby of Town Creek; four sisters, Emy Scoggins, Carie Cox,, Eula Waldrep and Edna Prince, all of Town Creek; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Masons.
