Lewis died June 8, 2009. He was born Oct. 17, 1923, in Enid, Okla.
Lewis lived in Gallup since 1951. He founded Lewis Brothers Plumbing and Heating in 1961, and was a lifetime member of the Lion's Club, Elks International, Chamber of Commerce, YEI's, Red Rock Ramblers, and Director of Sunwest Bank.
Survivors include his wife, Margie Lee Lewis of Gallup; son, Glen Lewis of Gallup; daughters, Sharon Ann Hawkins of Gallup, Peggy Lewis-Alumbaugh, Los Lunas; brothers, Ben R. Lewis, Bill J. Lewis, both of Gallup, Bob L. Lewis of Tucson, Jim D. Lewis of Farmington, Barney C. Lewis of Memphis, Tenn.; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
Lewis was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Meda Lewis; brother, Kenneth W. Lewis, Wayne Lewis.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Gallup Methodist Church, following services.
