The State of Nevada mourns the passing of our beloved leader, Rev. Dr. Willie Davis, 72, of Las Vegas, June 10, 2009. He was born March 12, 1937, in Boligee, Ala.
Willie was our pastor, teacher, organizer, builder, counselor and visionary man of God.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jeanette Davis; daughter, Dawn Davis; mother, Lila Davis; and father, Mose Davis.
Willie is survived by his wife, Emma Davis; son, Darryl Davis; daughter, Lisa Fisher; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
We invite you to come and celebrate with us. There will be a memorial service at 6 p.m. Monday, June 15. A celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 16, both at the Second Baptist Church, 500 W. Madison Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89106, (802) 648-6155. Interment will be at Davis Memorial Park, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
