Mansfield Marion Moore 4th child born to Joseph Mansfield Moore and Mary Thomason.

Mansfield was married 4 times and had 14 children.
his 1st wife was Ann M. Carper they had 10 children; Joseph, John, William, James, Charles, Rachel, Mary, Thomas, Harvey and Jacob. Ann died and Mansfield remarried to Minnie and they had 1 chld; Dora; Minnie died and he would remarry again to her sister Deliah, they had no children but she died at a young age and he remarried again his 4th wife was Cordelia and they had 3 children; Beulah, George, and Bryan.

Mansfield also built and operated the first water mill in Bradshaw Virginia; and was thought to be the first Postmaster in Bradshaw, his sons also serving as carriers.


Mansfield enlisted at Camp Harmon, Fairfax County, Virginia
on his tombstone it says (CO. F 14th CAV. C.S.A.)
There was an artical written in the Confederate Veteran Magazine (Vol XXIX- 1921) Entitled: Five Living Confederate Brothers, the artical was about the Moore Brothers and their families and parents.
