Perry H. Luse, 88, of Pennsylvania Ave., Centre Hall, died at the Briarly Manor Nursing Home, Bellefonte R.D., February 4, 1961.
Mr. Luse, a retired farmer and carpenter, was born at Farmers Mills, Centre County, April 30, 1872, a son of Daniel and Harriet Ulrich Luse. He married Esther Spayd Dec. 14, 1896. She died April 12, 1932.
Surviving are three sons, Ralph F., Centre Hall; George A., Huntingdon; Fred E., Centre Hall; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grand-children.
He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Centre Hall. He joined the church in 1897. He was a member of the Centre Hall IOOF and had been a member of Progress Grange for 57 years. He also was a member of the State and National Granges and a member of the P.O.S. of A.
Services were held at the David J. Jefferies Funeral Home, Centre Hall, February 7. Rev. Dean E. Rupe officiated and internment was in Centre Hall cemetery." (Obituary - The Centre Democrat, February 16, 1961)
