Last rites for Nick Stephens, 39, were conducted in the home of his mother Mrs. Mabell Elliott of Logansport on September 15, 1952.

Stephens, who was born near Bethel community on March 15, 1913, died of a heart attack in his home on September 13. An employee for Magnolia Petroleum Go for 18 years, he was a 32nd degree Mason.

Officiating at the service was the Rev. W. S. McCullin of Ringgold. Masonic rites were held at the Williams Cemetery where he was buried. Drewett Funeral Home of Mansfield conducted the services.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nick Stephens and daughter Nicki of Uvalde, Texas; his mother, Mrs. Mabell Elliott of Logansport; one sister, Mrs. Essit Banks of Detroit; two brothers, Claude Stephens of Detroit and Emmett Elliott of Trenton, Michigan.

Masonic pallbearers were Cliff Stewart, H. M. O'Donnell, Dave Mitchum, W. C. Horn, A. J. Pugh and Prentiss Wells. Judge Richard Frazier of Many conducted the Masonic rites.
