Apparently the Death Certificate is incorrect as to her mother. Her GRANDMOTHER was Phoebe Pace. The correct mother for Gertrude is Mary Polly Davis. Per census and other records.

Gertrude Fleming (38485689)
Suggested edit: Gertrude Lee married Sam Fleming on 23 December 1900 in Mineral Wells, Texas. The couple moved to Stamford in 1906 from Mineral Wells. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Fleming moved to Brady in 1958.
Mrs. Fleming was a school teacher at Weatherford and taught in the Stamford public schools for a time. She was a past president of the Pierian Club and the PTA in Stamford. She was a lifetime member of the Pierian organization. She was a member of the Christian Church.
Survived by three sons - R.G. Fleming, Frank Fleming, Sam Fleming; three daughters - Mrs. H.T. Kirby, Mrs. Sam Rosser, Mrs.Hubert Dial; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters - Mrs. John Hartness, Mrs. J. Sleeper.
