John Krause [sic], 74, a resident of the town of Calamus practically all of his lifetime, died at his home near South Beaver Dam at 3:40 o'clock this morning. Death followed an illness of a few weeks duration.
Mr. Krause was born in Chicago on May 5th, 1855, and came to the town of Calamus when a child of six weeks. On February 21st, 1881, he was united in marriage with Miss Mary Frank, who, with the following children survives: Mrs. Frances Baer, Oak Park, Ill.; Henry Krause of Lincoln, Ill.; Mrs. Clara Aman, Wichita, Kas.; Mrs. Tillie Banes of the town of Westford; Mrs. Leona Geissler of Oak Park, Ill.; Mrs. Lillian Sheske, Beaver Dam; Herman Krause of the town of Calamus; Mrs. Marie Sterr, Beaver Dam; Leonard Krause, Ripon.
He is also survived by eight grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Josephine Rosenmeyer, St. Benedict, Ia.; Mrs. Barbara Gergen and Mrs. Sophia Zellmer, Beaver Dam, Wis.; Mrs. Frances Kliegel, Downing, Wis.; and Joseph Krause of Morgan, Minn.
The funeral services will be held at 9:30 o'clock Saturday morning at St. Peter's church with interment in St. Peter's cemetery. The services will be conducted by Rev. George J. Muenzer. Please omit flowers.
