OBITUARY: Beaver Dam Argus, Thursday, March 5, 1936, page 5.

Mrs. Mary Frank Kraus, widow of the late John Kraus, passed away in death at her home, 509 E. South street, at 7:30 o'clock last Friday morning. She had been in declining health for the past year.

She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. Frank and was born October 5th, 1859. On February 21st, 1881, she was united in marriage with John Kraus, who preceded her in death on December 13th, 1928. They made their home in the town of Calamus following their marriage and five years ago Mrs. Kraus came to this city to make her home.

Surviving are the following nine children: Mrs. Frances Baer, Beaver Dam; Henry Kraus, Lincoln, Ill.; Mrs. Clara Aman, Milwaukee; Mrs. Tillie Banes, Beaver Dam; Mrs. Leo [sic] Geissler, Berwyn, Ill.; Mrs. Lillian Sheskey, Herman Kraus, Mrs. Maria Sterr of Beaver Dam, and Leonard Kraus of Ripon. Four brothers and two sisters also survive.

Mrs. Kraus was a life-long member of St. Peter's congregation and a member of the Christian Mothers society. Rev. Theo. Rohner conducted funeral services at St. Peter's church at 9:30 o'clock Monday morning and interment was made in St. Peter's cemetery.
