"William Thomas Belt, Sr. was born on March 13, 1907 to William Daniel Belt and Mary Horsely "Mamie" Jones Belt. He resided for many years in the Dallas, Texas area and then his family moved to California.

His mother and father divorced and he stayed in California with his mother Mamie and his two sisters moved back to Texas. Married to Sadie Marie Kruz, March 2, 1929.

He is survived by his wife Marie, one son Robert Daniel Belt, two sisters Mary Evelyn Belt Clark and her husband Edward Easters Clark, Jr., and Catherine Elizabeth Belt Ziegler. And a half-sister Betty Ann Belt Finnegan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.

He served in the United States Army during World War II.

He is preceded in death by, his parents two brother's in law Harold Anthony Ziegler, Richard Anthony Finnegan. Mr. Finnegan also served in World War II. He is also preceded in death by a son William Thomas Belt, Jr. who died tragically due to a drowning..."
